Points of Interest

• None of the events from this episode appeared in the original One Piece manga.
• This is the third episode of the Z's Ambition filler arc that is meant to tie into the twelfth One Piece movie, One Piece Film: Z. This places the continuity of those events between the Fish-Man island Arc and the Punk Hazard Island Arc.
• Luffy's Jet Gatling was the technique that defeated Rob Lucci's Iron Body (Tekkai), and he was a Six Powers master. Shuzo's Iron Body apparently renders the same attack to be ineffective.
• When Nami first appears, she is not wearing her log pose. However, in the next shot where she is seen from behind she is wearing the log pose.
• This is the first episode to show a member of the long-arm tribe in hand to hand combat.
• In this episode, Zoro ised the 360 Pound Phoenix attack using one sword, but this has always been a three sword technique.
• This is the first episode that shows the Thousand Sunny can launch it's anchors.
• This is Z's first appearance in the anime.
