Koyuki Kazahana

Yukie Fujikaze was born as, Koyuki Kazahana (風花小雪, Kazahana Koyuki), the princess of the Land of Snow. Her father, Sosetsu Kazahana, was the lord and deeply loved his young daughter. One day, he had her come into a room that was filled with mirror. He told her that she looked closely enough that he could see the future and that spring would come, but she had never seen the spring due to the land was in a state of constant winter. He went on to ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up. Koyuki said she wanted to be a kind of princess who was kind, strong, and fought for justice, but she also wanted to be an actress.

Soon after, Sousetsu's younger brother, Doto Kazahana, staged a coop using rogue Snow Ninjas, and murdered her father. She was as good as dead if not for the intervention of the Leaf Ninja, Kakashi Hatake. He rescued her and ran to take her to the Land of Fire for her safety. The only thing she had from her old life was the Hex Crystal her father gave her. She was left with a trusted family and after a few years forgot much of the trauma of her past. The price was that she was no longer able to cry. She grew up as Yukie Fujikaze and became the most famous movie actress in the Land of Fire. Her largest role was as Princess Gale (フーウン姫, Fūun-hime) in the The Adventure of Princess Gale movie series. When the next movie called for the finale to be filmed in the Land of Snow, she felt the uncontrollable need to run away. This caused Director Makino to hire bodyguards to keep her from fleeing again.

Creation

Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow (2004)

The character of Yukie Fujikaze is the lead character in the first film from the Naruto franchise that was created by Masashi Kishimoto. It began as the original manga that first began publication in Weekly Shonen Jump by in 1999. She first appeared in Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow that was released in Japan on Aug. 21, 2004. It film was directed by Tensai Okamura, written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa, and character design by Tetsuya Nishio. The voice performance for Yukie in the Japanese series was done by Yūko Kaida, and her voice as a child is done by Karen Miyama. The English dub that was produced by VIZ Media is performed by Kari Wahlgren.
