Yuki Bojin

Creation

Yuki is a character in the Galaxy Express 999 series, which was created by Leiji Matsumoto, who is popular for the Captain Harlock franchise and its related series. She makes her first appearance in Episode #27 "The Goddess of Children and Easy Birth in the Snow Capital". In the anime series her design and creation are credited to Shingo Araki and Shigeru Kogawa respectively.

Major Story Arc

The Goddess of Children and Easy Birth in the Snow Capital

When Tetsuro falls through a hole in the ice of the Snow Capital, Yuki sees him and asks him if he has any food. Tetsuro gives her a piece of a cookie, which Yuki is greatly appreciative for. Yuki invites Tetsuro to her house where he is attended to by her mother. Later that night, Yuki discovers that her mother intends on cooking Tetsuro as food for Yuki and herself and selling his remains to a bone dealer. Yuki tries to stop her but she is unable to until her mother discovers that Tetsuro gave her food earlier that day. Willing to repay his kindness, she decides to let him live and returns him to Maetel.
