Popular Japanese Seiyuu and J-Pop Singer

Yui Horie made her voice acting debut in a video game called Voice Fantasia in 1997 and starred in a number of minor roles in anime for the next three years. Her big break came when she landed the voice of Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina in 2000 and her role as Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket the following year started her rise to becoming one of Japan's most popular seiyuu. She was employed through Arts Vision until mid-2007 when a scandal within the agency's management led Yui to become a freelance seiyuu.

Yui is also a popular J-pop singer in Japan making her debut album, Mizutamari ni Utsuru Sekai, in 2000. She has colaborated with several seiyuu in making a number of musical projects over the past decade, which include being a part of the seiyuu J-pop group known as Aice5 from 2005 to 2007. Yui has made 6 independent music albums and currently releases music under the label, Starchild.

Yui is also the host of her own weekly radio show called Yui Horie no Tenshi no Tamago which airs every Monday night on the station JOQR. Her hobbies include shoulder massage, reading and cooking.
In 2008 she started a visual kei band called Kurobara Hozonkai (黒薔薇保存会, The Assoication of Black-Rose Preservation). And is composed of:
