Younger Toguro

Origin

Toguro was a fighting partner with Genkai, training to become the strongest. However, no matter how strong Togura got he always had one fear, fear of aging. He had feared that even he becomes the strongest in the world, he will get weaker when he starts to age. When both Toguro and Genkai won the Dark Tournament together, he asked to become a demon as his prize so he will never get old.

Creation

Toguro was created by the series's author, Yoshiro Togashi.

Character Evolution

Before he became a demon, Toguro was kind man, but not anymore. Ever since he became a demon he was thirst for best fight with a strongest opponent, the one which will enable him to use 100% of his strength.
Throughout the battles, Toguro can increase mass of his muscles along with his power levels. As seen in both manga and anime Toguro has various forms, or shapes of his muscles depending on how much of his strength is used, varying from 25%, 50%, 85% and so on.

Major Story Arc

Spirit Detective Saga

At the end of first season Spirit Detective Saga Yusuke receives another assignment, a rescue mission to rescue a girl name Yukina. Toguro brothers were hired bodyguard and they were the last one to face both Yusuke and Kuwabara. Toguro had overwhelming advantage but he lose the fight on purpose only because his real employer told him to. Few days after the mission, Toguro shows and faces Yusuke to invite him in person, to the Dark Tournament. To make sure he accept the invitation, Toguro threaten Yusuke that if he doesn't show up at the Dark Tournament, Toguro will kill everybody Yusuke knows and loves one by one.

Dark Tournament Saga

As promised, both Yusuke and Toguro participate in the Dark Tournament. With fierce fights with formidable opponents and Genkai's constant training, Yusuke becomes stronger and stronger after each rounds. However the process is not fast enough to satisfy Toguro. To motivate Yusuke to get strong as him or even possibly stronger than him in fastest way, Toguro kills both Genkai and Kuwabara.
