Higuri debuted in 1993 with Azel Seimaden, the prequel to her popular Seimaden series which would run form 1994-1999. She followed Seimaden with a number of popular series including Ludwig II and Gorgeous Carat. In 2001 she began the popular shoujo historical fiction series Cantarella, following the saga of the infamous Borgia family, then in 2004 she did a single volume manga based on one of the scenarios from the popular Gakuen Heaven BL game. In 2006 she also did character design for the sci-fi anime Night Head Genesis.
