Yosuke Hanamura is a new resident to Inaba and gets tangled up in the murders in Inaba.
Origin
Yosuke Hanamura was born in Tokyo, Japan and lived in the city for most of his life. His father works in management in the chain of stores throughout Tokyo called Junes. With the opening of the biggest store yet in Inaba, his father was transferred to the country side to oversee the store. Yosuke was roped in to helping out at the store and started at Yasogami High School when he first moved in. He became friends with Chie Satonaka, Yukiko Amagi, and Saki Konishi, referring to the latter as his senpai. Despite not being a part of the store being built, most people in town hate him since Junes took away business from the original shopping district in town. He becomes one of the first people to welcome Yu Nakumari when he moved to town.Creation
The series was later adapted into a manga written and illustrated by Shuji Sogabe, and began serialization in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Black Maoh magazine on September 19, 2008. The anime adaption began in October of 2011 and is directed by Seiji Kishi.
His manga first appearance was in Persona 4 Volume 1 CH. 2 "Midnight Channel", and his first anime appearance was in Persona 4(episode yet to be announced). His character in the Japanese series is voiced by Showtaro Morikubo, and the U.S. dub has not been announced.
Yosuke, along with the rest of the Investigation Team members, appears briefly in Chapter 1 of the manga during the introduction pages for the series.

Yosuke Hanamura also appears in the Playstation 2 video game Persona 4 as the comic relief of the story. His Social Link explores how he still holds remorse for Saki as well as coming to grips with moving from the exciting city to the boring country.
