1949- . Born in Hiroshima Prefecture, Kanemori joined the animation department of Asahi Films in 1971, before establishing Studio Bird in 1974. He worked as a key animator on such productions as Spooky Kitaro and Penguins Memory, before subcontracting his services as a character designer to the Madhouse studio for Yawara and Bark! Bunbun. He also worked as a character designer and key animator, respectively, on the war anime Rail of the Star and the Diary of Anne Frank. His directorial credits include Fly! Dreamers.
