Yasutaka Tsutsui (b.1934) is one of the top science fiction writers in Japan., the multiple award-winning author of dozens of novels, short story collections and works of criticism. Many of his works have been adapted into TV and movies, and he also performed as a voice actor in Osamu Tezuka’s anime 1001 Nights. His works available in English include The African Bomb, Hell, What the Maid Saw (available as the manga Telepathic Wanderers) and Salmonella Men From Planet Porno. He was also the author of the story that formed the basis of Satoshi Kon’s anime Paprika.
