Witch Hunting Invocation!?~ Heart Throbbing■Graveyard Supplementary Class Lessons?~

Maka, Soul, Black Star, and Tsubaki were forced to take remedial classes in this episode, as a result of having gathered no souls (Maka and Soul had theirs confiscated in ep. 1, and Black Star has never succeeded). The trial was to find their old teacher, Sid Barett, who had become a zombie. Once they found him, they were to neutralize him, and ascern the reasons for his changing into a zombie. The 2 pairs encountered Sid in a graveyard, and began to fight with him. Maka and Soul used a special technique in the fight called "Resonance of Souls", which allowed them to use Witch Hunting, a move which briefly transformed Soul into a crescent-shaped scythe. Unfortunately, the technique was above their abilities and failed. Black Star eventually saved the day, using Tsubaki to capture Sid. The students then learned that their true enemy was Frank N. Stein, a man who was the strongest technician at Shibusen, and the meister for Maka's father.
