A body part that is usually found on animals that fly (like birds and bats). It allows them to fly (obviously) and/or glide in the air. Mostly made out of scales, skin, or feathers.
Due to its symbolic meaning, wings have also been commonly associated with angels and demons, who have wings on their backs instead of using them as surrogate-arms.
However, wings do not necessarily have to be feathered wings. They can also be bat wings, which are usually but not always associated with vampires.
