The Whitebeard Pirates

Unlike many other pirate crews. The Whitebeard Pirates are less like a gang of bandits, but more like a family. This follows the dream of their captain Edward Newgate, Whitebeard. Back when he was a younger pirate. He had little need for treasure. Despite being one of the Four Emperors, he didn't wish to go after the great treasure One Piece to become King of the Pirates. He always dreamed of having a family.

All the members of the Whitebeard Pirates call Whitebeard, "Father", and he looks to them all as his children.

Division Commanders

The Whitebeard Pirates are not exclusive to a single crew. This requires commanders of the different divisions to create a clear chain of command. In this pirate crew there are sixteen divisions of a hundred people each.

1st Division: Marco

The commander of the first division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Marco. He is a blond man who has the Devil Fruit powers of a phoenix. He has a tattoo of the Whitebeard Pirates that covers his chest.

After the death of Whitebead and Ace. Marco seems to of taken command of the entire fleet.

2nd Division: Portgas D. Ace

The commander of the second division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Portgas D. Ace. He ate the Flare-Flare Fruit that gave him the body of fire. Though he is the biological son of the former Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. He looks to Whitebeard as his father. The man who gave him a purpose.

Ace is also the brother to the Straw Hat Pirates' captain, Monkey D. Luffy. The two grew up together and became brothers in bond and heart., along with Sabo.

3rd Division: Jozu

The commander of the third division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Jozu. He ate the Devil Fruit that allows him to alter his body to take on the form of diamonds. This makes him nearly invulnerable in a battle. He is a large person.

His abilities were unknown until the fight with the Marines in the war to save Ace from execution.

4th Division: Thatch

Thatch was the commnder of the fourth division of the Whitebeard Pirates. He was murdered by one of his own crew for the Devil Fruit he had found. That man was Marshall D, Teach, who would later go by the name Blackbeard.

He was a man with blond hair, but a dark toned beard on his chin. Said by others to of been a good man. Ace hunted after his killer relentlessly, but was captured instead by Blackbeard

5th Division: Vista

The commander of the fifth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Vista. He is known as the Floral Blade. He is a duel wielding sword fighter. He wears a top hat and and has a large mustache.

During the war with the Marines, Vista was able to match blades with Dracule Mihawk. This speaks to his incredible skill.

6th Division: Blamenco

The commander of the sixth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Blamenco.

7th Division: Rakuyou

The commander of the seventh division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Rakuyou.

8th Division: Namur

The commander of the eighth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Namur. He is a shark type Fishman.

9th Division: Blenheim

The commander of the ninth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Blenheim.

10th Division: Curiel

The commander of the tenth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Curiel.

11th Division: Kingdew

The commander of the eleventh division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Kingdew.

12th Division: Haruta

The commander of the twelfth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Haruta.

13th Division: Atmos

The commander of the thirteenth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Atmos.

14th Division: Speed Jill

The commander of the fourteenth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Speed Jill.

15th Division: Fossa

The commander of the fifteenth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Fossa.

16th Division: Izo

The commander of the sixteenth division of the Whitebeard Pirates is Izo. He is a man who dresses in a kabuki style.

Allies

Though not all official members of the Whitebeard Pirates. There are several pirate crews in the New World that are strongly affiliated with the Whitebeard Pirates. Many have strong enough ties that they joined in the battle at Marineford to save Ace. Some of these members even look to Whitebeard as their father.

Jimbei

Despite being a member of the Shichibukai, Jimbei is a steadfast ally of the Whitebeard Pirates. He would often visit Whitebeard's ship in secret. He owes Whitebeard a great debt for bringing peace to Fishman Island.

This debt was strong enough that he cast away his title as a Shichibukai and refused to assist in the war against Whitebeard. He was sent to Impel Down, but escaped with the help of Luffy.

Oars Jr.

Oars. Jr is a giant and descendant of the Supreme-Giant Oars. He has a deep friendship with Ace. It was Ace who made a giant straw-woven hat for the giant. Oars Jr. took part in the war to save Ace from execution.

Whitey Bay

Whitey Bay is an ally of the Whitebeard Pirates but not part of the crew. Still, she and her own pirate crew are considered part of the extended family.

Squard

Squard is the captain of the Squard Pirates and an ally to the Whitebeard Pirates.

Doma

Doma is the pirate captain of his own pirate crew and an ally of the Whitebeard Pirates.

McGuy

McGuy is a pirate captain of his own pirate crew and an ally to the Whitebeard Pirates.

Decalvan Bros.

The Decalvan Twins are brothers who captain their own pirate crew and are allies to the Whitebeard Pirates.

Pirate Ships

Moby Dick

Being a fleet of over 1600 pirates could not fit on a single ship. There are numerous pirate ships in the armada of the Whitebeard Pirates, but there is a single flag ship that is commanded by Edward Newgate. It is called the Moby Dick.

The figure head of this ship has the appearance of a giant whale.
