...And was really excited, 'cause then I could (jokingly) call it the Anime Vice anime. But I don' know how many of you remember my reporting that Weiß Schwarz, a card game manga, was being developed into an anime.

There's a bit more news about it now, including its name: Weiss Survive. It's being developed as anime shorts, not a full-length TV series, and an image that looks a bit like a key visual is now available. The shorts will air on TBS this coming June.

Those of you who don't remember the details of the series: the manga is drawn by Negima!? Neo artist Takuya Fujima, and revolves around a boy named Takeshi and a girl named Michi who play a card game laden with other series in the cards (Da Capo, Zero no Tsukaima, Fate/Stay Night...) and get sucked into an alternate world where they have to play the game to survive.

If you're unsure about why I got confused about the name: “Weiß” is pronounced with a “v” sound, so in katakana it's written ヴァイス, which could also be read as “vice.” And there's youre lesson for the day.
