Weekly Shōnen Jump is a weekly published manga magazine that has published the serialized chapters of such popular manga series such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach.
Weekly Shōnen Jump (週刊少年ジャンプ, Shūkan Shōnen Janpu) is a weekly Japanese serialized magazine that's published by Shueisha. The publication began in July 2, 1968. The series publishes chapters of various manga series each week. Each volume is at or around every Wednesday of the week, with the exception of various national holidays.
This magazine was created by Shueisha in response to the already successful Weekly Shōnen Magazine and Weekly Shonen Sunday, published by Kodansha since 1958. Shonen Jump began as a semimonthly publication between 1968–1969, but quickly moved to weekly distribution in October of 1969.
Many of the series published in Weekly Shōnen Jump have been some of the more popular series in manga history, from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball, Eiichiro Oda's One Piece, and Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto. Every two to three months, the chapters published in Weekly Shōnen Jump are collected in a tankōbon volume format.
It was on January 21, 2013 that Weekly Shonen Jump went same day release in the US on its digital edition with full English translations.
