This episode is about Amidamaru and his friend, Mosuke. Mosuke has been waiting for Amidamaru, so he can give his greatest work, the sword Harusame (which means Spring Rain) to Amidamaru. Yoh helps Mosuke with integration. Mosuke uses Yoh's body to physically fix Harusame in the nearest smithy, but leaves before meeting Amidamaru. So, Yoh and Manta then present the sword to Amidamaru in Mosuke's absence. Amidamaru listens to Yoh's explanation of why Mosuke couldn't see him for over 600 years, and then he prepares to leave the spiritual world as well. However, Ryu shows up in this episode to attack Yoh and Manta with his wooden sword. Amidamaru decided to postpone his passing on and rushes to save Yoh.

Anime and Manga Differences
- Unlike the manga, Ryu appears in the Mosuke story arc. The Mosuke chapter (manga) ends with Amidamaru accepting Harusame and Manta narrating.
