Ekaterina Kurae arrives in Japan, and as Mayuri welcomes her with the name "Katja", Hana seems to harbor a crush on her at first sight. While the three of them head to Mayuri's house in her car, Katja spots the silver-haired Sasha outside the window. Sasha is being dragged along with Tomo, Mafuyu, and Teresa on a shopping trip.
At Mayuri's house, Katja is trying on some new outfits that she bought for her, and asks Hana to come into the room. She fakes a fainting spell and tricks Hana into caressing her supposedly unconscious body. Katja responds by using her "mother" Anastasia, a large puppet made of copper, to restrain Hana and sucks her soma out through her breasts. She also threatens to tell everyone that Hana is a pervert unless she becomes her slave.
Sometime later, Sasha is attacked by Katja, the Qwaser of copper who uses the copper wiring in nearby buildings to electrocute him. Mafuyu sprays Katja (and Hana, by proxy) with a fire hose, warning that if she tries that attack again she'll only shock herself as well. Katja decides to retreat back to Mayuri's house, who is startled to find her and Hana are both soaking wet and blames it on Sasha and his friends.
In the next chapter, Mafuyu wonders about the history of Teresa, considering that she has barely spoken in the two weeks they've lived together. Sasha seems indifferent to her history, only using her for her breasts. The eyepatched priest Yuri Noda appears to answer the question, saying that Teresa was a Serbian born in Croatia, a region in the former Yugoslavia where she was a Serbian Orthodox Christian in a place that was 90% Catholic Croats.
The Croats struck her church during the war, raping and killing everyone inside while she hid and witnessed it all. Yuri Noda tried to help, but Teresa was the only survivor of that traumatic experience. Sasha adds that the Croats who attacked her church were apparently led by a Qwaser who used chlorine gas to purge his enemies.
As a group of children are playing outside the church, the Qwaser of chlorine appears and threatens to turn the playground full of children into his own gas chamber. Sasha tries to talk Teresa out of hiding in order to suck out her soma, and then fights back against the enemy Qwaser. The Qwaser retreats to a nearby pond and uses the water to create hydrochloric acid, which easily dissolves Sasha's iron-based weapons. However, a copper shield mysteriously appears on the field, which is not so affected by hydrocholric acid. Teresa uses the shield and helps Sasha kill the Qwaser of chlorine while Katja watches from afar.
Mafuyu reiterates the situation about her friend Tomo, that she constantly has to suck on Teresa's breasts to replace the soma that the Golden Qwaser's nail keeps draining. This means that either the Golden Qwaser must be killed or they'll have to rely on "The Miracle" to get the nail out. Mafuyu takes off on her own to find the icon, using her uncle's journals as a guide, but is attacked by some thugs on the way. She ends up falling unconscious and wakes up later to find herself in the company of a boyish-looking girl named Elizabeth and her master Ootori, who seems to be training her in swordfighting for some reason.
After dinner and a little skinny-dipping, Mafuyu says goodbye to Elizabeth and continues to look for the icon. Elizabeth then stumbles into the same thugs who attacked Mafuyu yesterday, and reveals herself to be the Qwaser of Titanium. Using a giant sword made of titanium, she destroys the thugs very easily, ending with an "amen."
Elsewhere, Tomo, Sasha and Teresa finally catch up to Mafuyu, with Tomo revealing that Sasha almost kissed Katja's feet just to find her. Sasha responds that he wanted to find her because he liked her borscht that much. The group walks into a cave mentioned in the journal, where Yamanobe Yuudai hid his "most precious treasure" and they find a painted picture of Tomo and Mafuyu. Teresa points out to Sasha some footprints that show a child and an adult came into this cave not too long ago.
Outside, Mr. Ootori talks with a man who wants him to become one of the Adepts and help them find the icon of Tsaritsyn. He refuses, saying that while he shares their ideals he wants to search for it by himself. Using his own power, he ends up burning his own house before setting off with Elizabeth.
Mayuri Tsujido decides to spite Tomo and Mafuyu again by holding an art exhibition displaying her family's treasures and forcing them to work as servants during the exhibition along with Sasha. Sasha later meets with Katja, demanding that she show her true identity, but Katja says that her Anastasia is busy tormenting Hana. Another maid accidentally finds out the kind of punishment when she stumbles onto a naked Hana in the bathroom.
Katja later reveals that the whole art exhibit was her idea in the first place, just to show how Mayuri thinks of people, including herself, as little more than objects and dolls to be gawked at. Mayuri reveals that the exhibit will reveal a brand new kind of Faberge Egg to the world, the "Phantom Egg of Anastasia." Apparently, the Russian Mafiya bought up most of the other eggs and also offered a generous sum for the one that Mayuri is planning to display.
As if on cue, the Russian mafia storms through the door of Mayuri's mansion, kills the guards and knocks Sasha unconscious before he can fight back. The mafia threatens to torture the girls in the mansion and videotape it unless they get the egg, while Hana considers simply escaping her erotic torment. As Katja again loses her faith in the good of humanity, Mayuri offers herself as a sacrifice, stripping naked for the amusement of the mafia. Katja takes advantage of the situation, sucking Mayuri's breasts to replenish her soma as her slave Hana decides to help bring her Anastasia to fight back.
As Sasha regains conciousness, he hears one of the older mafiosos growling about Qwasers, saying that the last one he encountered was able to manipulate sodium. As he swallows a cyanide capsule, he tells Sasha that he encountered the sodium-user during the Russo-Afghan war. Sasha tells the group that when the Golden Qwaser killed his sister Olja, the Qwaser of sodium was right next to him.
The next day, the mafiosos don't seem to be connected to the Adepts, but were just paid by a collector who wanted the egg for himself. However, the point becomes moot, as the egg was somehow stolen despite being locked in a safe-deposit box in a safe made of titanium.
