Plot Summary
Searching for the key to save a world beyond hope. Tsutomu Nihei's sci-fi horror epic! Zoichi Kanoe plunges into the depths of 9JO-an island city in themiddle of the Pacific Ocean-in search of Eon Green, a girl with the power to transmute the N5S virus. Tranhsuman hero ? Check. Overpowerful gun ? Check. Viral contamination and inhuman ennemies in a distant future ? Check. Well, it's official : it's a Tsutomu Nihei Book !
Graphicly, the book is in the continuation of Blame. A good drawing, black and white with a love for building and urban background that litterally jump into each page.
The story is quite good, but it's seems too like a ripp-off of Blame, and that's quite annoying an a disappointement. Fortunately, the action compensate the lack of originality, and what action !
Zouichi is very amazing, sure he's got the same almost blind look than Killy, but damn ! He's truly a badass guy, and the fact that he possess the most cool motorbike since Kaneda's bike in Akira doesn't hurt. Some action are truly awesome and epic.
The other cool stuff is the impression of emergency of the book, destiny earth is at stake, and Tsutomu Nihei make me truly feel this way.
In short : Average story, slightly enhanced drawing but awesome action.
