Also known as resurrection. This is when a previously dead character is restored back to life.

Bad Turned Good

Also known as redemption. This is when someone who was previously wicked decided to become good.

Clone

A Clone is a biological copy of any organic creature. A Clone is mostly created through science and is sometimes abused to an extent.

Code of Honor

Many characters in anime/manga live by a personal or structured code of honor.

Dismemberment

The loss of limbs and body parts is a common concept in many of the more violent Japanese manga and anime.

Drule

An alien race from the Voltron and Dairugger XV franchises. Their homeworld has been virtually made uninhabitable by pollution leading them to aggressively try to claim new worlds, which in turn often puts them at odds with human colonists and other aliens.

End of the World

The extinction of all life on Earth or the destruction of Earth itself. Also known as; Armageddon, Ragnarok, and the Apocalypse.

Espionage

This is the act of secretly watching a person or group to gather information, often for political purposes. Spies typically disguise themselves so that they might sneak around. Espionage is also frequently tied to assassination plots.

Extreme Violence

It's use can be intended to be shockingly disturbing or hilariously absurd.

Flashback

Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback.

Forced Combat

A concept where people are forced to fight against their will against an opponent or opponents who are sometimes also fighting against their will. Usually done under the threat of death, and for the entertainment of morally corrupt individuals.

Funeral

The Funeral is the act of a burial after a death. Friends and family gather to morn as the body is placed into the ground, or pass along condolences to surviving family.

Galaxy Alliance

The representatives of various worlds in the Voltron franchise, consisting of Military, Political Figures, and Civilians who have banded together.

Ghosts

A ghost is a dead persons spirit that roams the earth usually attached to where they died or refusing to go to the after life until there are finished on earth.

Giant Monster

An enormous creature generally the size of a building or larger. Giant Monster is also a popular theme in Japanese anime and horror, with Godzilla as it's most iconic example.

Good Turned Bad

Also known as corruption, this is when someone previously goodhearted becomes sinister.

Gore

Guts, blood. All that stuff. Mostly seen in violent anime.

Human Transmutation

Alchemy's most forbidden taboo. Sewing life together and with good reason. As the saying goes whats dead should stay dead.

Humans

Humans are typically depicted as the dominant species of the planet Earth, and sometimes of other planets. Humans often mirror their real life counterparts in terms of abilities and intellect, while other times they can achieve superhuman feats.

Major death

Death of a major character.

Mech

Generally refers to a large, usually humanoid weapon-type robot, usually piloted from within.

Military

The force of defense and offense of a nation. Are mostly equiped with the best weapons that the nation can provide.

Necromancer

A Necromancer is someone who specializes in Necromancy; magic used to communicate with and even resurrect the dead.

Prince

A male heir to a royal throne.

Princess

A female heir to a royal throne.

Rivals

Rivals are competitor to someone. Unlike an enemy, rivals could have similar goals but disagree on the process.

Robeasts

The giant robot/monster villains of the Voltron and Dairugger XV franchises. A robeast modeled after King Zarkon himself was even made.

Robot

An electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own.

Royalty

Someone part of a royal family.

Science Fiction And Robots

Seen in many animes and mangas.

Sea Monster

A creature/monster that lives in the sea or ocean.

Slavery

A concept where one person is treated like the property of another, sometimes legally recognized as such in the eyes of the government as well. This concept applies to both those who have been enslaved and those who have "owned" a slave. In most cases the slave is a protagonist who rebels.

Space Mice

The space mice were a group of rodent supporting characters in Voltron. They had one real enemy in the series Haggar's cat Coba. Some named mice include Chitter, Cheddar, Cheeser and Cheesy though names seemed to vary depending on whether Pidge or Allura were talking about them.

Space Monsters

Monsters that inhabit space.

Students

A Student is one who is enrolled or attends classes at a school, college, or university. A popular theme among many manga and animes.

Super Robot

Super Robots are mecha with super strength, rocket punch attacks and piloted by hotblooded heroes.

Super Weapon

Any object or even character that is considered a weapon of great power that usually can change the world. Super weapons are usually created to be the ultimate weapon though sometimes they are only considered as such after demonstrating some form of great power.

Sword Fight

An intense battle between two or more characters using swords.

The Revelation

The idea that a major event/item/history is explained to the protagonist. With the main character and reader aware of the truth, everything is approached with a new view.

Training

Specialized strategies and methods of exercise used in various anime and manga series to develop characters and prepare them for performing in events.

Transformation

The Idea of a character transforming into a animal, monster, creature, demon, or other types of creatures.

Twins

Twins are children who are born on the same day from the same mother. Though not always identical.

Voltron Force

The pilots of the five Voltron Lions.

Voltron Vehicle Force

Team of pilots/drivers who operate the various vehicles used to form Vehicle Voltron. They are split into three seperate groups, Air Team led by Jeff, Land Team led by Cliff, and Sea Team led by Cric

Witches

A female sorcerer or magician.

Zombies

Zombies are an undead rotting corpse that is alive yet dead and have voracious appetites for living flesh.
