VIZ Media's publication of the Tite Kubo's BLEACH series may be trailing behind when compared to ONE PIECE and NARUTO, but VIZ has been releasing two volumes a month all this year to catch up. Seems like fitting time seeing how the series is entering the finale in Japan. With the change comes a brand new cover design. They are replacing their original red lower border with a black design as the story enters the time skip.

BLEACH Vol. 48 US (Oct 2012)

The BLEACH story will be reaching the close of the Fake Karakura Town story arc as Aizen faces Ichigo one final time. In that same month, readers wont have to wait to see the beginning of the series first time skip, the beginning of the Lost Shinigami Substitute Arc, and the introduction of the Xcution.

Hey Vicers! Forgive me in advance for such a long video but trust me that there is a lot of stuff packed in there. If you don't believe me, just look at the tagged pages at the bottom of this post. I've been quite busy with life stuff but I have been able to work in a ton of reading. But I might have to get back into watching series as I have 7 boxsets sitting on my floor waiting to be opened and watched (plus a number of series on the shelf I still have yet to review). Anywho, lets get to it! (There are a couple topics I talk about that are not in the AV Wiki: Princess Lucia (manga) and Girls of the Wild's (web-manhwa))

See if you can find what VIZ is trying to hide in this summer's releases of BLEACH.

While I was updating many of the manga covers in the BLEACH series to the U.S. editions. I noticed a little touch in all the VIZ Media releases. There are two particular volumes where these two manga have an oh-so convenient placement of the title card that wasn't there in the original Japanese versions. Take a look at the images before and see if you can find the change.

As you can see, VIZ moved the BLEACH title to slightly cover the rather prominent breast for both Tier Halibel and Rangiku Matsumoto on BLEACH Vol. 42 and Vol. 46. It's just sort of a silly edit. As if we aren't going to suddenly notice they are there. I guess there is more of a case of Matsumoto's version. If they put it at the top, it would have covered her face. It's not really a big deal as long as the art inside isn't changed. I just thought it was kind of funny.

While we're on the topic, I'd love to ask why they don't keep the volume names on the covers. They do the same thing to NARUTO and ONE PIECE.

The publisher VIZ Media announces a release date for the forty-sixth and forty-seventh volumes of the BLEACH series and their cover images.

These volums cover the ever ongoing Fake Karakura Town Arc of Tite Kubo's BLEACH. It's rather shocking that VIZ has only published BLEACH this far when both ONE PIECE and NARUTO are far closer to their Japanese versions. They are currently releasing the BLEACH manga two volumes a month all through this summer. The release date for Vol. 46 & Vol. 47 is set for September 4, 2012, and are currently available on Amazon.com for preorder.

I did it again Vicers. I crumbled under the weight of another RightStuf sale. It's a pretty good order but it could have been better if there was more manga in stock that I wanted. Won't be until later this week that I get to the series I got for DCs. I need to get back into manga reviews, too.

Naruto Vol. 58 US (Sep 2012)

This volume covers the ever ongoing Shinobi World War Arc of Masashi Kishimoto's NARUTO. Itachi Uchiha returns to the world of the living and Naruto has to stop both him and Nagato together, The release date is set for September 4, 2012, and is currently available on Amazon.com for preorder.

This volume is the setting for the first major battle in the post time-skip era of Eiichiro Oda's ONE PIECE. The release date is set for September 4, 2012, and is currently available on Amazon.com for preorder.
