Do you think that vegeta should of had a bigger role in DBZ

i really hate how he didnt have a bigger role in dbz 
where he should of had his big moment was against cell he should of been the one to kill him not gohan 
and he beat goku twice im just saying dbz dropped the ball on not giving him a better role

@Karkarov:  Agreed. If anything he had to big of a role. He was even more of a main character than Gohan

Vegetas role was  very large in DBZ. The character that needed more screen time was Piccolo after the Cell saga he was pretty much non existent.

In DBZ allies were just old enemies who were stronger than Goku only for a few episodes. After becoming an ally they would be an important character but become almost non-existent after they are replaced by someone who was in the exact same role but stronger. Vegeta was the last replacement, he was an important character since his appearance.

@ktarinze:  As everybody said already said no if by a bigger role you mean a bigger role then Goku then no DBZ should still be about Goku IMO Vegeta is just another one on the list of long rivals .
 
BTW moved to the Vegeta forums!! thank you for making me get one step closer to finishing the quest :)

I don't see what your trying to say. Vegeta had a pretty damn big role in DBZ. I personally wanted Yamcha and Piccolo to have had bigger roles but oh well.

@hitsusatsu11: Really? Well its your opinion. I personally prefer Piccolo over all.

@Newdeath: piccollo is really cool, but iv'e always liked vegeta's character and back story. The ruthless super elite saiyan prince who should rightfully be the strongest, and avenge the destroyed saiyan race,  beaten by a lowly 3rd class warrior. The effect this has on vegetas mental state and how it drives his insane training is very interesting. His refusal to completely give up his pride sets him apart in the badass department.

@hitsusatsu11: I didn't like Vegeta as much as Piccolo because of his concealed cowardice which was shown during fights against Frieza (sometimes) and when they first met Broly (even though it is non-canon)

@Newdeath: well it's not so much cowardice, hes not afraid to be hurt or die, he simply cannot bear his pride being hurt.

@hitsusatsu11: Well he did display genuine fear against Broly. He has also shown a fear of dying which was stated by Paragus during the Broly movie.

vegeta should of had a way bigger role he should of had an equal role to gohan besides being gokus rival he really didnt do that much the only people he killed were cui, android 19 and nappa he did not have a big role just a rival should of had a role equal to gohan dont know why people are saying he had a big role all he was was a rival and that sucked

And yet it was him who was helping Goku fight Buu in the final battle, when it should have been Gohan.

@ktarinze: If you were a saiyan in DBZ you always had a big role. His role was by far larger than Gohans, if it wasn't for Vegeta Gohan would have lost to Cell. There are plenty of other times as well when Vegeta played a huge part in saving the world. If you want to count how many villains that were defeated Vegeta is really on par with Goku there.

Vegeta has defeated more villains in DBZ than Gohan Piccolo Krillin Yamcha Tien combined. He pretty much stole the spotlight from piccolo who was Gokus #1 rival for the longest.

@cfatalis: LOL , If Vegeta had a bigger role Goku would be his sidekick instead of rival.
