Ahh, judging books by the covers-- a better pastime than people would imagine. I've got two books to talk about today, and the first of them is...cue the Jaws music...the Twilight manga(-ish graphic novel thingie).
Yen Press is releasing 350,000 copies of this book on March 16th, and I'm already planning on using March 9th's Final Fantasy XIII release as an excuse to stay at home that day. Look, I haven't read or seen any of Twilight at all-- I have no legitimate reason to dislike the series itself (sorry, but "because my readers say it sucks!" doesn't count in my book).
And let's face it, it's not like obsessive Twilight fans storming Hot Topic are that much scarier than obsessive Vampire Knight fans storming a gothic lolita booth at a con, really-- just different volumes of said fans.
But something about the whole franchise sends a shiver down my spine, and not in the good way.
If you wanted more information on it, though, Tony over at Comic Vine notes that you can hit up this week's Entertainment Weekly for the word.
