Tsuruya-san
A cheerful, fanged high school student.
Origin
Little is known of Tsuruya-san's past; in fact, her first name has never been revealed. She was introduced as a friend and classmate of Mikuru's, brought in to play a small role in Haruhi's movie and to take a spot on the SOS Brigade's baseball team. In the light novels it is eventually implied that her wealthy family is a supporter of Itsuki Koizumi's Agency, and she may even be aware of some of the SOS Brigade's oddities, although she has never confirmed this.Personality
Eternally cheerful and given to easy laughter, Tsuruya-san generally comes across as something of a free spirit. She has a funny speech pattern (perhaps due to her one fang-like tooth), frequently injecting the terms "megas" and "nyoro" into her sentences, and also has a minor lisp. The daughter of an extremely wealthy family, she is very generous with the SOS Brigade. In The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Tsuruya's alter-self is extremely protective of Mikuru, even to a violent degree, although in the normal reality of the series she is less close to Mikuru (and less prone to violence).Other Media
