Creator of the popular manga City Hunter, Cat's Eye and mentor to Slam Dunk's Takehiko Inoue.

Tsukasa Hojo is a Japanese mangaka best known for his series City Hunter.

Hojo was studying technical design at Kyushu Sangyo University when he began drawing manga. His first series was 1981's Cat's Eye, the tale of three sisters who run a restaurant and are also cat burglars together. In 1985 he followed it up with City Hunter, a crime drama featuring a "sweeper" named Ryo Saeba, who works as something of a vigilante/detective. City Hunter is Hojo's most popular series to date, and has been adapted into a dozen TV anime, TV movies, and OVAs.

Currently, Hojo is working on a series titled Angel Heart, which he began in 2001 and is ongoing at 26 volumes. The series is a spin-off from City Hunter, and was adapted into a TV anime in 2005.

Hojo also mentored the popular mangaka Takehiko Inoue, who assisted on the City Hunter manga and is friends with Fist of the North Star creator Tetsuo Hara.
