True tears is an romance anime series directed by Junji Nishimura.
The story follows Shinishiro, a young high school boy with a talent for art. He has a crush on a girl in his class named Hiromi Yuasa who also begins to live with Shinichiro's family after her father(an old friend of Shinichiro's father) died. At home, she acts coldly towards him, but at school she is lively and popular and he wonders why she acts so negatively around him.
At school he meets a strange girl named Isurugi Noe sitting atop a tree who can not get down herself. After he helps her down he teases her, which prompts her to then cast a 'curse' on him. Shinichiro then proceed to face abit of though luck and then builds a fake chicken out of a tissue box in order to ask for forgiveness. Soon Noe begins to tie Shinichiro in her antics by harassing him with chicken feed seeds. Afterwards he begins to regularly visits Noe and the become close friends.
