This space western features Vash the Stampede, a man whose bounty is $$60,000,000,000 (that would be in "double dollars"), apparently for destroying a city although he doesn't remember it.
Overviwew
Insurance workers Meryl Strife and Milly Thompson accidentally discover the Human Typhoon, Vash the Stampede, and are told to track him, since he's cost the insurance company so much money. Thus begin their adventures, which usually involve Vash being chased by someone who wants the $$60 billion bounty on his head. The show eventually delves into less light-hearted topics as Vash's muddled history comes to light.
Trigun's main character Vash, comes out as a normal human being that likes to eat donuts and smile all the time. He believes everything has the same opportunities no matter what, hence, the Love & Peace Slogan. He tries to live a very peaceful life but his plans are always thwarted by the people chasing him.
Film
In 2005 a Trigun feature film was announced. The movie was confirmed for a 2009 release.
