HADOUKEN! video was hilarious. I remember seeing that movie, was so weird, the part where chun li gets her legs split forcefully by that cyborg made me cringe lol. This video makes up for it though, I DEMAND A SEQUEL FOR THIS! Ricky needs his revenge for his hair loss!

I tend to avoid anime based on popular games since I really don't expect much out of them. Well, at least the ones that are obviously made just because of the popularity of their gaming counterpart. I'm sure I've watched anime based on a game or something similar and not known it.
 
I tried Devil May Cry because of my fandom for the series and its characters, but ended up bored - though I did watch four episodes, which I think is most of it anyway. The Xenosaga anime I only saw one episode of before saying "screw this pile." 
 
Also, this video was great in every way.

Good job Tom , this was hilarious .... anime flicks of fighting games are always the same x or y organization is stealing the fighters data (or rather fighting style and stats) to either make an army of super robots / or create the greatest fighter , it is only a matter of watching your fav character duke it out against some one else in animation.

This video has pulled me out of my dormancy on Anime Vice.  Great job, Tom. 
I totally agree about fighting games being difficult to adapt because of their minimalist storylines.  It's hard to fill in those gaps when the game itself has so little that can be considered "canon". 
Not to mention that everybody has their favorite fighters, and to give each character an equal share of the spotlight so that nobody feels cheated is almost impossible.  Somebody's always going to feel cheated.

Come on a little kid can't beat Zangief!  I don't think I liked any of Street Fighter animated stuff.  Speaking as a fighting game fan I know they don't exactly focus on great stories.  They often make for poor features regardless of how great the game is.  The Fatal Fury movies were kind of cool but they needed a better soundtrack.  The King of Fighters Another Day showed promise but it needed a harder focus on action and an older era of games to pull characters from.  Tekken was simply horrendous.  
 
If I had to recommend any fighting game feature it would be NIght Warriors Darkstalkers' Revenge.  Again, lacks a really fleshed out story but it has an amazing attention to detail in the fighting choreography.  It ends up looking both slick and true to the games.  I know there are copyrights to infringe but I need clips of the movie in the video to remind me how bad it was.  You should try jump kicking next time.

Ughh hated the Street Fighter Alpha movie, the first one was way better. Though its far better than Art of FightingXP
