Plot Summary

In the Lacrima room of Phantom robot, Totomaru uses Blue Fire on Natsu, and Natsu eats the flames which tastes cold to him. Totomaru tells Natsu that he and him cannot use fire on each other, but Natsu tells him that he cannot control his flames. As Natsu tries to use Roar of Dragon on him while Totomaru gets ready, Natsu spits on Totomaru. Totomaru, who is angry, uses Orange fire to make Natsu's nose go crazy. Natsu attacks Totomaru with his fists while Totomaru use his katana. Natsu gets Totomaru's katana thrown to the lacrima. Even though Natsu uses his flaming fists, Totomaru makes him punch himself. Natsu widens the flame to hit him. Natsu powers up and spins the flames to make it wider. Natsu throws the flames which pushes the katana through the lacrima. As a result, Jupiter's lacrima is destroyed.

Fairy Tail Guild get their second wind and continue fighting Jose's shadow/ shade army. Jose has the Phantom Guild headquarters shift and change into a robot. Totomaru notices Natsu having motion sickness. Jose tells Fairy Tail guild to beg. After Fairy Tail guild realize Natsu and transportation, Totomaru tries to finish off Natsu. Gray freezes Totmaru's hands while Elfman knocks him out. Gray congrats Natsu for finishing off Jupiter. Happy and the others realize the robot is spelling Abyss Break. Gray and the others move quickly to destroy the robot's energy source to stop the spell.

Meanwhile, Cana tells Mirajane that Elfman is in the robot. She reassures Mirajane that Elfman has moved on. Mirajane remembers Lisanna and tells herself to move forward. Mirajane reveals herself to Jose and surrenders herself. Jose figures out that Mirajane is an imposter.

In the robot, Elfman meets Sol who comes out from the ground. Suddenly, Mirajane is teleported into the robot's fingers, and Jose has the giant crush Mirajane. Elfman attacks Sol with his Beast arm (right arm) Sol torments Elfman with Sable dance then Roche Concerto as he tells him that he has a sister. As Elfman uses iron arm, Sol creates stone replica of Lisanna. He explains that he has read his memory. Sol asks Elfman where is Lisanna and tells him that she is buried in the ground. Sol torments Lisanna by making the stone replicas of Lisanna around him and talk to him. Sol continues to torture Elfman psychologically and calls him trash for killing his sister. He uses Platre Sonatre , a fist of earth.

When Mirajane calls out Elfman, he asks her why she is here. Sol uses a sealing magic, Merci la Vie, to make Elfman become a part of the land. During the pain, Elfman remembers his past. He sees himself crying for his parakeet, and Lisanna comforting him. She says that living things die sometimes, but she tells him that the bird will live on his heart. Elfman sees his former self hit Lisanna and tries to apologizes for his actions of his former self. Another flashback occurs, Lisanna is breaking up Natsu and Happy's argument. Elfman tells Lisanna that they are accompanying them on an S class mission to suppress the Beast King. His former self stops Mirajane from recruiting Natsu. Elfman tries to stop them from going on that mission.

In the flashback of the mission, Mirajane tries to stop Elfman who has used a full Take Over, and Lisanna arrives to her side after evacuating the townspeople. Mirajane explains that Elfman has lost his reasons after using Take Over on the Beast King. Despite Mirajane's warnings, Lisanna tries to talk to Elfman and tells him to go home together. Suddenly, the former Elfman smacks Lisanna. Now, the former Elfman mourns the death of Lisanna while Mirajane tells him to keep on living like what Lisanna told them.

After the flashback ends and Mirajane calls him, Elfman emerges from his stone seal and uses full Take Over. He breaks the seal and vows to never see his older sister cry again.

Manga & Anime Differences

  • In the manga, Sol has the data of Elfman's background memorized whereas in the anime, he reads Elfman's memories using his magic.
  • Unlike the manga, Sol has created replicas of Lisanna to torture Elfman.
  • Also, Sol has used a move that was not in the manga, Merci La Vie. It is a move that seals a user and turns them into earth.
  • Unlike the manga, the anime has extra flashbacks such as the parakeet grave, scenes after Dragon Egg special (Lisanna tells Natsu and Happy to get along), and the S Class mission (which was never in the manga).
