Episode Synopsis

At Marineford, Garp is being told that Silvers Rayleigh is being sold at the slave auctions, but for some reason no one present seems to know who he actually is. He's just being sold as some old man. Garp seems to find this new rather funny. He tells his subordinate that he will handle the matter. Garp believes that Rayleigh probably lost gambling and is selling himself. Garp knows too well that while Rayleigh is older. If they were to rush against him their losses would be huge. he makes mention of the marines taking on "two legends" at once.

At the Auctions House in Sabaody Archipelago, the auctions are about the begin. The seats are packed with rather rich socialites. Disco is introduced as the main auctioneer.

The people is the crowd are speaking of the slaves as if they were objects.

The first slave up for sale is from Troa in the West Blue. A pirate from a line of musicians. His name is Byron. opening bid is for 480,000 Berries.

the Celestial Dragons and Supernovas are already present and watching. Trafalgar Law doesn't look very happy.

Byron is sold for 600,000 Berries after a heated bidding war. Turns out Disco has planted men in the crowd to raise on bids to drive up prices.

Elsewhere, Duval and Sanji are still moving along in the water at a slow pace. Sanji is looking at a list of the standard pricing for the different types of slaves.

Nami and the others and the Rosy Life Riders are still searching for where Camie is being sold. There is no information so far.

Usopp is listening to some drunk guy complaining how the giant they caught for the auction house was dropped down in importance since someone brought in a mermaid.

They now know that the kidnapper was Peterman, and that she is being sold at #1 Grove. Everyone turns toward Grove #1.

Elsewhere, Zoro runs into some bandits that foolishly attempt to kidnap him. He is just looking for the location of Grove #1. Zoro mistakenly thinks that is where his ship is docked due to a mistake on his part.

The bandits pull their swords, but a single scary look from Zoro knocks the fight right out of them. Instead they offer him directions.

The sixth entry in the auction has begun. It's advertised as a "10 pack" of human laborers.

Duval gets a call to check the auctions schedule. It's starts at 4PM and has already been going on for thirty minutes. Sanji worried, but Duval tells him that mermaids are a huge showcase and wouldn't be shown until later.

Sanji just tells Duval to make a turn and take the shortest route since they are so slow. Duval calms Sanji by mentioning that they haven't changed direction since they started out. That's because they have been heading toward Grove #1 Auction House from the very beginning. The fact they are here first proves that Duval is the head of the team. As they are pulling up, Chopper arrives before them.

Nami, Hatchan, and the other soon arrive. Only ones still not present are Luffy, Robin, Usopp, Brook, and of coarse Zoro.

Franky arrives and finds Sanji arguing with one of the auction workers outside. The worker tells then they could face legal action against them for "obstructing business". Nami points out that slave selling is taboo in the world. She realizes they must be paying the World Government off to look the other way.

Franky loses his temper and takes aim at the building, but Hatchan stops him from attacking. He tells him that the Celestial Dragons are inside, and if Camie is in there. She's already been fitted with an exploding collar.

Franky wasn't aware of the collars on the slaves that explode. He was on the Thousand Sunny the whole time.

Nami looks especially serious and starts to walk off. She announces that if they can't use force. they will play by their rules.

Inside the cells, Camie is panicking as she watches people being taken out before her to be sold.

Nami leads everyone with her inside. Eustass Kid's man mentions their entrance to his captain. Kid wanted to see the captain to see how crazy he really is.

Entry #14 is now up for auction. She is a human and works as a maid. Specializing in games such as cards and chess. Starting bid is 600,000 Berries.

Nami and the crew look enraged listing to people bargain and bid over this woman like an object.

The girl is sold for 3,000,000 Berries.

Nami says she plans to use her treasure to buy Camie back. She's already estimated the value at least 200,000,000 Berries.

Hatchan says that should be more then enough, but he could never repay that. Nami doesn't get what he means. He's not Camie's guardian. She says if it's to save her friends. The cost doesn't matter.

Outside in the Archipelago, the news is being spread throughout the island. The remaining Eleven Supernovas, pirates, and other citizens read the paper and are shocked by the news.

X. Drake suddenly realizes why there are so few Marine ships present. Whitebeard's Second Division commander, Fire Fist Ace has been captured and scheduled for execution. This would surely drive Whitebeard to move on the Marines. This would mean all out war.

Back at the Auction House, the entry 15 is up for bidding. This person is a lovely young woman. Her name is Pashia and she's a twenty year old dancer. Someone calls out a starting bid of 800,000 Berries. It got as high as 3,000,000 Berries before the scene changes.

Rushing toward Grove #1, Luffy is still not there yet. Zoro has made it to Grove #2. The rest of the crew are also on the move.

In the Auction House cages, the workers call for Camie to be prepared.

Points of Interest

  • This new opening spoils some of the coming events. From PX Models, to Amazon Lily, and to the Impel Down arc.
  • When Sanji is looking over the slave auction list. he has three cigarettes in his mouth.
  • The Longarms listed is the same species as Scratchmen Apoo.
  • Duval's Den Den Mushi still has the Iron Mask appearance.
  • The mark seen on the draped backdrop of the auction house is the same used by the Bellemy Pirates. This is the mark of the Shichibukai, Donquixote Doflamingo.
