So I got an e-mail from (ahem) "Codename V," a guy who runs an Evangelion fansite. Apparently he managed to score some one-on-one time with Tiffany Grant, voice actress (best known as Evangelion's Asuka) and ADR scriptwriter currently affiliated with Sentai Filmworks/Section 23.
The interview runs over 90 minutes long in three large chunks, and the video and audio quality aren't very good in any of them. So, to spare you guys some time and effort, I think I've managed to cull out the important and/or amusing information:
There are some fun stories about the dubbing, the ADR scripting, dealing with Gainax, and even acquiring the rights-- winning out over higher-bidder Sony --if you want to take the time to listen; some of the (usually fan-provided) content is a little iffy and again, the a/v quality is quite low. But if you just can't get enough Evangelion, there's plenty of gossip to be had.

- Our host "V" seems to hate everyone who's done anything with Evangelion who wasn't ADV (or related); in the first video in particular there's quite a lot of ranting on title cards and stuff.
- Grant is so unsure of the relationship between Sentai Filmworks and Section 23 that she refers to her place of employment as..."The Place." The recording is still done at the same physical building as ADV's.
- These folks are apparently still working on putting together some kind of live-action Evangelion project. Yeah, the same one we've been hearing about for...well, a very long time.
- Clannad and Blue Drop's dub recordings are completed.
- The seiyuu who played Asuka in Japan, Yuko Miyamura, did NOT bang Hideaki Anno. I never even heard this rumor, but apparently Grant made mention of it, although it's in the interview notes, not in one of the videos.
