Plot Summary

When Konatsu gives up, Atsushi reassures her with their banner. The two sing, and Sawa asks Atsuhiro if he's nervous. Sawa wishes to be a jockey and finish a race. Taichi asks the two to stop singing, and Wakana remembers the letters from the Condors. Konatsu hands some maracas to Wakana who declines due to being sick. Sawa asks Taichi why he started playing badminton. Befoer he could answer, he gets called. At Keisuke's eatery, Wakana stops by to see her father. In the badminton match, Taichi battles hard while his friends dance to cheer him on. With the tournament over, Konatsu is excited that Taichi is in the best eight. Sawa decides to look for Taichi. She finds Taichi looking down, and when she asks him if he's crying, Taichi replies he is just doing his visual training. When Sawa asks Taichi if that player in his club is the reason he started badminton, Taichi refuses to answer. As the group leaves, Konatsu asks Sawa if Wakana is alright.

At the beach, Wakana looks at a young mother playing with her daughter. Shiho spots Wakana and reveals she has sprained her ankle. On the way home, Wakana carries Shiho's surfboard. Over at Shiho's place, Shiho reveals a photo of the choir club has Wakana's mother in it. She points to Takakura Naoko who is the current vice principal. Shiho tells Wakana that she will make a copy of her. In Wakana's past, Wakana reads some letters while Keisuke deals with the guests. In a hospital scene, Wakana tells her mom to take care of herself. When Wakana's mom asks Wakana to sing with her, Wakana tells her that she is not in the mood. Wakana feels guilty since she thinks her mom would have gotten better if they had finished that song. In the piano scene, Wakana yells at her mother and stops her playing the piano. Back to the present, Wakana asks her father to give the piano to someone who wants to play it. Keisuke agrees to Wakana's proposal.

At school, Atsuhiro asks Wakana if she's heading to their celebration party for Taichi. Wakana declines, and before she goes home, Konatsu and Sawa asks Wakana the same question. Sawa feels that something's wrong with Sawa. As it gets dark, Wakana gets home and sees her mother's piano gone. She looks at the spot, and then, she searches for Dora, her cat. It rains, and Wakana remembers leaving to school on a rainy day. Her mom wishes her good luck, and her mother gives her a good luck charm.
