Keima Katsuragi is The Capturing God. There isn't a girl who can resist his charm... That is, unless she is "real", because Keima is a Dating Sims fanatic and can not stand the "real" world and finds all "3D" girls to be irritating and unreasonable (also, they call him OTAMEGANE=Otaku Megane (glassess)). One day, Keima received an enigmatic email "challenging" him to his claim of making any girl fall for him. Incensed, Keima brazenly accepts this challenge only to discover that he is now contracted by hell and bound to a demon named Erushia Delto Ima (or Elsie/Elsee/Elsae, for short). Now he must help Elsee on her quest to capture the escaped spirits from old hell unless he wants the Spirit Collar, a black ring encircling his neck to signify his contract to Hell, to REMOVE HIS HEAD.
How do you find an escaped spirit? By filling the gap in a girl's heart that the escaped spirit is hiding in.
How does Keima fill the gap in a girl's heart? The only way he knows how: by calculating the chances, seeing the ending, and closing the girl's gap with love.
