Darren was originally blackmailed into being blooded into a half-vampire by Mr. Crepsley after stealing his performing spider, Madam Octa. Later on in thestory however he learns that vampires aren't evil, becomes a Vampire Prince and even saves the world.

The vampire who blooded Darren, making him a half-vampire. Used to be a highly respected vampire.

A local boy that Darren and Evra became friends with when they stopped for a show. He was also the first person Darren ever drank from, which he only did to preserve Sam's memories.
