LOL i used to go to that japan video place to buy air fresheners for my souped up import in high school.

also, maxwell looks curiously like an animal wolfing down a fish at that tai yaki stand.

Nice, short tour video of J-Town. The taikyaki stand is a part of May's Coffee Shop, which has good curry and other lunch items IMO. The SF Kinokuniya carries English manga alongside untranslated manga and magazines in the lower level that they expanded into a year or so again, which helped to alleviate the cramped feeling the main store before the change.

Also: I would like to recommend that any first-time visitors stop by Ichiban Kan in Miyako Mall (across the Peace Plaza) for cheap dry foods (ramen, etc.) and other miscellaneous stuff as well as Nijiya Market, a grocery store that is just off the plaza downhill on Post St., if you are planning to browse a wider selection of food.

There are virtually no Japanese/anime/manga related shops around where I live (I have to buy everything online), so seeing this video really made my heart flutter with excitement.

Great tour :)

An anime store is cool but a manga cafe is just jaw-dropping!

you guys are so lucky, live in london and have nothing which is even remotely as decent as that.

@YoYo seriously? i'm surprised a place like London wouldn't have an epic Japantown of its own.
