I would like to see a Skullgirls anime, crazy boobs and a kinda interesting storyline.

Assassin creed would do well as a anime. One with similar style to Dark than black.

I'm just happy to have Persona series in a anime role now so my wishes for video game to anime are pretty much fulfilled.

How about probably one of the more ultimate melding of games and anime, ASURA'S WRATH? That not only already had commercial bumpers. It had openings, and next time on- scenes. Even the guys on Giant Bomb, who express open contempt for anime, were captured by that game.

One of the problem in adapting games into anime is that the games are more based around the game play than a story. Not that there aren't some good story based games. I loved the story behind BIOSHOCK INFINITE.

Tekken. I mean sure, they already released that anime movie back in 1998, but that wasn't nearly silly enough. It should be goofy and funny, like the ending cutscenes in the games:

Oh, and for the record Dead or Alive and Virtua Fighter kind of have crossed over. A handful of Virtua Fighters are playable in the latest Dead or Alive game, Pai Chan being my personal go-to.

Two words: Kingdom Hearts.

Ninja Blade or Ninja Gaiden would do good as an anime in my opinion. It would make Naruto a distant memory

Was that in skype? had hard time understanding bits an pieces here an there.

my list in no order would be...

any bit of that game universe (1 an 2 were made in the america) could easly be a anime.

We have magic gang in Fairy Tail why not the sorta real world.?Both have streaking an Saints Row has anime tributes already baked in.

So much awsome,So little time. So many anime like stories. So much parody an in jokes.

Its just wacky enuff to work as anime.

So much could be made with the story world alone.Magic , machine an man its got it all.steampunk cyberpunk magicpunk .. no shortage of punks.

I could see a duke nukem anime! COME GET SOME! They should make it controversial and do the most recent game complete with him saving a woman and slapping her ass as he carries her....

A Warframe anime could be pretty cool. It reminds me of Tsutomu Nihei's "Blame!", while the warframes themselves look a little Guyver-like.

Weird that there's no Metal Gear. Seems super obvious. That, and I'd like to see Grand Theft Auto done in a Baccano sort of adaptation.

@NickyCharisma: well part of that is because the question was "Which American video game franchises" You can blur the lines on what is an isnt a ameician game a bit. Like Arkane Studios is a French video game developer based in Lyon, France. It was founded in 1999, and released its first game, Arx Fatalis, in 2002. Arkane Studios opened an Austin, Texas-based office in July 2006... so since they have a austin texas branch which has Harvey Smith there in Texas makeing ..

which also wold make a fine anime.

Metal Gear Solid would not be considered american because The game was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japanan its main director is Hideo Kojima
