Summary

Opening Theme-

"Crazy Rainbowstar" by Tackey & Tsubasa

Everyone is in utter shock to learn that Luffy's grandfather is a Marine hero.

Luffy warns everyone no to fight him. He tells them of all the times his grandfather nearly got him killed. As a young boy he threw him into a ravine, tossed him into a jungle with wild animals, and tied him to balloons to fly away. All so that he could become a strong man and a great Marine. He left Luffy with a friend for a time and then Shanks came along.

Luffy defends Shanks and Garp grabs him. He apologizes, and the crew panics that Luffy is captured. They look again and both Luffy and Garp are asleep. Garp wakes first and pops Luffy in the head for sleeping. Usopp arrives to hear about this family connection. He hides at the window with Yokozuna.

Garp explains that Shanks is one of the greatest pirates in the world. One of the four Yonkou. They rule the New World, second half of the Grand Line. Among the ranks is also Whitebeard. The Shichibukai were created to balance the power of these four.

Luffy doesn't get it, but he's happy to hear Shanks is alright. Nami knows about Shanks' connection to Luffy, but had no idea how powerful a man he is. Robin just learns about Luffy's connection to Shanks.

Zoro is led to the Galley-La office by two punks who were stupid enough to try and mug him. He pounded on them a little and they led him to where he wanted to go. These boys are canon characters, but they also play a role in a filler episode that comes up.

Zoro finds Marines all over and starts attacking. Garp hears the commotion and challenges two of his subordinates to see if they can stop him. They move in to attack. Luffy tries to warn Zoro that they don't need to fight, but one of the boys strikes of Luffy. He's a rokushiki user. The fight is over quickly. These two are no match for Luffy and Zoro.

When the fight is over it's revealed that these two are Coby and Helmeppo. They remember Coby, but not his new appearance. Neither can remember Helmeppo much at all.

Garp orders his men to fix the hole he just made. They complain and ask why he made the hole if they were going to have them fix it. He says that way as a cooler entrance. They tell him that he needs to help. He looks upset, but quickly agrees.

The Marines are fixing the wall and Garp mentions how he heard Luffy met his father in Loguetown. Luffy doesn't know what he's talking about. Nami is curious about who Luffy's father could be.

Luffy's father is revealed to be the man who stopped Smoker from arresting Luffy as he was leaving Loguetown. Monkey D. Dragon. He's the leader of the revolutionary army. Everyone present is in absolute shock, but Luffy.

Robin explains to Luffy that the Revolutionary Army is the only force in the world that is actively trying to overthrow the World Government.

Garp realizes that he probably shouldn't of said anything. He laughs and casually suggests everyone just forget.
