This series is about a boy, Hosuke Sharaku, as a normal boy (with his patch on his foreheard) he is harmless and innocent, but when the patch comes unfolded, he has transformed into a member of the three-eyed tribe, who now he has great powers. While his big bandage is on his forehead, Hosuke Sharaku is an unlikable boy and he is always being bullied by everyone in the class. On the other hand though, he has changed ever since he noticed a picture of God who had a cross on its forehead. A strange secret might just be hiding under that bandage on his forehead.

This was actually the first animated work that Osamu Tezuka had planned to be based on the manga, that was prepared following his death. The original manga, had some sexual scenes, which were inappropriate for younger people, but he had it changed in the anime, so it was suitable. There was a great number of the people, who contributed to make the anime, the original creator was Osamu Tezuka, but the character design and picture director was Udagawa Kazuhiko.
