The Tenth Question: All or Nothing! - 出たとこ勝負!踏ん張りどころの10問目 (Deta-toko shōbu! funbari dokoro no jū monme)

Summary

Opening Theme-

"Rocks" by Hound Dog (Japan)

"Rise" by Jeremy Sweet and Ian Nickus (U.S. TV)

Ibiki is about to give the final question, while it is revealed through Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai that

Ibiki specializes in torture and interrogation. Before he gives the final question, Ibiki allows any of the

examinees to choose whether or not they will take the10th question. If a ninja chooses not to take it, they

fail, along with their teammates. If a ninja takes the question and gets it wrong, they will be forbidden to

take the Chuunin Exam ever again.

Sakura thinks about the situation she and her teams are in as many ninja begin to raise their hands and

decide not to take the final question. Thinking of Naruto, Sakura begins to raise her hand, but stops as

she sees Naruto raise his. After hesitating, he slams this hand into the desk, stating that he will not give

up and take the final question. Many of the ninja gain confidence after hearing Naruto's words, surprising

Ibiki with the number of ninja left. He then tells everyone that all the ninja remaining pass, shocking

everyone. As complaints arise, Ibiki begins to explain the purpose of the exam, stating that it was to test a

ninja's information gathering skills. Because the questions were too hard for a genin to aswer,

examinees were encouraged to cheat. He also tells them about the importance of information. Finally, Ibiki

explains the 10th question, the main question of the first exam. He gives the ninja a situation in which

they are a chuunin and they have to make a choice between two hard decisions, just like with the 10th

question. A chuunin must take the risk of overcoming a hard obstacle, like with the 10th question. Ibiki

officially passes the remaining examinees, as the next examiner crashes through the window. She is surprised by the number of examinees left, saying that Ibiki was a little too soft. At the end of the day, Ibiki collects all of the exams. When he finds Naruto's, he sees that it's completely blank. The remaining examinees meet at the location of the second exam, the Forest of Death.

Ending Theme-
