A mysterious message from Captain Yamanaka, Maji's former commander from his days in Earth's military, requesting Captain Harlock's help is found. Captain Harlock decides to answer the call for help and while the Arcadia travels to Yamanaka's location, Maji reveals that his connection with Yamanaka and how he came to meet Captain Harlock and join his crew. Unfortunately, the message was received too late and all that remains of Captain Yamanaka is a skeleton clinging to the wheel of its ship.
