Then, Lamia Scale enters Fairy Tail's guild. Sherry explains that Lamia Scale is number two. Lyon immediately falls in love with Juva and puts his hands on her shoulder. Juvia gets confused and thinks about the many love triangles. Meanwhile, Gildartz shows off Cana and their father to daughter relationship. Alzack shows a portrait of their daughter to Erza and the group. Lucy thinks about her father and the long 7 years as she looks at everyone reuniting and having fun. Later, Lucy heads over to her apartment where the landlady kicks her out for an overdue rent of 5,880,000 Jewel. Everyone (who haven't age 7 years) at the guild realizes that their savings were gone to pay for rent and such. Lucy thinks about her father and decides to visit him. Meanwhile, Bisca tells Erza about Jellal, Jura tells Makarov about Zeref, and Lyon asks Gray about Meldy and Ultear.

On the following day, Natsu and Happy follow Lucy to the Love and Lucky guild where Lucy finds out her father has passed away a month ago from a receptionist. At sunset, Lucy set down flowers for her deceased father and mother, and later, Natsu, Happy, and Lucy head home. Then, a couple of spoiled girls talked about how they want their fathers dead. Natsu and Happy yells at them to go away. Lucy apologizes to them and explains that she never loved him because of the Phantom Guild and her past. Then, she states she has been lonely and that she hasn't cried yet which means she doesn't love her father. Natsu tells her that is not true.

Later, at the Twilight Ogre place, Banaboster tells Makarov to pay back the debt. However, Makarov, Erza, and Mirajane explain that they have caused damage to their guild and family, so they beat up Twilight guild members. Outside of the guild, Macao and Wakaba see Natsu and Happy all sad. In front of the big tree in the park, the land lady drags Lucy back to her apartment and explains that her father has sent her birthday gifts. Lucy reads the letter that came today, and the landlady states that her father has paid the debt. Finally, Lucy cries because her father has truly loved and cared for her. She admits she has loved her father as well. Outside, the landlady tells Natsu and Happy about Lucy's debt is gone. The two realized that they are the only ones without money. Natsu and Happy tell Lucy that they will bring some dumplings, but before they go, Lucy joins them.
