While Zeref finishes Hades off, Cana confesses to Gildartz about being his daughter. In the skies, Acnologia is coming for Tenrou Island.

Plot Summary

Laxus teasing Lisanna

Makarov attempts to establish a dress code for the women of Fairy Tail, nurse or swimsuit. Mirajane stops his request. Meanwhile, Zeref explains to Hades that the keys are nothing but illusion or the fact he was asleep is false. He says that Acnologia will mark the end of this era. He prepares to punish Hades for summoning Acnologia and for making him forget the value of life. Elsewhere on the seas, Ultear tries to comfort Meldy. Meldy asks Ultear if she destroyed her town, and Ultear answers sorrowfully yes. Suddenly, Ultear stabs herself with her sword as she falls overboard. She tells Meldy that she love her and wishes her happiness. However, Meldy saves Ultear using her sensory magic. In the skies, Hades has died; Zeref senses Acnologia. Back at Tenrou Island, Makarov announces that the S Class exams are postponed with the guys yelling and complaining. Natsu thinks he is S Class since everyone is quitting. Makarov decides to have a match with Natsu. If Natsu wins, he can become S-class. In an instance, Makarov easily beats Natsu by slamming Natsu into a tree with his enormous fist. Meanwhile, Erza finds Wendy hesitating to introduce herself to Laxus who teases Lisanna.

Gildartz embraces Cana

Over at a pond, Cana and Lucy are bathing in the medicinal herbs, and Cana shares with Lucy that she is still hesitant in confessing to her father. At a fishing spot, Gildartz and Natsu fish while Happy playing with the basket of fish until Cana and Lucy arrive. Lucy takes Natsu and Happy away, so Cana can talk to her father. Finally, Cana explains the truth to Gildartz. Gildartz goes into confusion over which women is her mother, but Cana gets angry at her father. Then, Gildartz hugs Cana and realizes she is Cornelia's child. He explains that she is the only person he married and that the fact she left him due to his job. Flashbacks of little Cana and Gildartz flow through his mind, and he embraces Cana again. He tells her that he will not make her lonely again and asks Cana for the right to love her. Natsu and Happy cry as Lucy thinks about her father.
