History

Originally founded as a seller of high-end telescopes in 1987, the company found some success retailing VHS tapes of the anime Astro Boy on the side. Eventually the company refocused into a licensor and retailer of anime products, including its own lines of merchandising for a variety of series (some licensed by them, some by other anime companies in the US). In 2007 the company renamed its production division to Nozomi Entertainment, which now appears on all of the companies licensed anime series (to differentiate between TRSI's productions and the anime sold on its website but licensed by other companies).
