Points of Interest

• Despite there being eight ninja hounds, Pakkun always seems to be the one who finds whatever is being searched for.
• In this episode, the Riinegan in Pain's eyes is improperly colored. They should be the silver-blue through the whole eye.
• The female Sannd Ninja Matsuri makes her first canon appears in the Naruto series.
• The jutsu Pain is talking about using to intercept Guy and his squad is the Impersonation Jutsu. The Kisame and Itachi Uchiha that appear to fight Kakashi and Might Guy's teams are not the real bodies, but sacrificed humans used in the Imitation Jutsu.
• Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yuuhi only appear this episode through flashback of the Search for Tsunade arc, where Kisame and Might Guy first clashed. They have no spoken lines.
• Deidara talks about the Jinchuriki being stronger than the other two. This implies that they have already captured two others.
• This is the first episode in which Hidan is finally voiced.
• Neji comments that this Kisame has a level of chakra that he has only seen in Naruto before. Unknown to Neji that this is a copy of Kisame with only 30% of his chakra.
