Kenichi Shirahama is always being pushed around and is called weak legs by his classmates (Shirahama sounds like the Japanese word for weak legs). One day on the way home he tries to help an older man being mugged. As he goes to help and is about to be beaten by the criminals, a new transfer student jumps in and pummels the muggers. She notices his dropped books about martial arts and offers to bring him to the Dojo. There he becomes the disciple of the greatest masters of 5 martial arts.
