Sanji and Chopper are still looking for Robin. Zoro is on the Going Merry, contemplating Kaku's diagnosis.
Back at the Galley-La Company, Luffy and Nami learn how badly the Going Merry is from Kaku. Though Kaku has yet to say anything specific, Paulie automatically seems to know the issue with the Going Merry is the keel. Paulie explains the basics of ship construction.
They can't just remake the Going Merry from scratch. It would be a pale imitation. Luffy remembers when they first got the Going Merry from Kaya and when they first marked the sail with the Straw Hat mark.
Luffy refuses to abandon the Going Merry.
Lulu shows up to tell Iceburg some government officials have come. Iceburg wants then sent away, but they barge in. Paulie tells Nami and Luffy to hide. Iceburg is not at all shy about his feelings toward this man, Kogi. Iceburg leaves with them to settle some matter.
While hiding, Luffy notices the weight of the cases seem off. Two of them are empty. Upon a closer examination they aren't even the same cases. Rob Lucci accuses Paulie of making a switch.
Lulu comments that he thought he saw Kaku with the Franky Family, but that was Usopp. Luffy is off like a bolt, before he even knows where to go. Nami asks where to find the Franky Family.
Nami is on her way to return the remaining money to the ship for safe keeping, but is the first to find Usopp. He's been badly beaten and robbed. He's so ashamed of his own weakness and failure to protect the money, that he does feel he can even face the others. She tries to reassure him about the money. She leaves him to get Chopper to tend to his wounds.
As Nami props Usopp in a seated position, her Log Pose is pointing into the sky. You'd think it should be pointed at the ground they are on until it's locked to the next island.
Sanji and Chopper return to the ship and Zoro fills them in on the Going Merry's condition. Nami arrives and fills them in on the goings on.
At the Franky House, the Franky Family hand over their spoils to their masked leader. He leaves them 5,000,000 beli and keeps the rest for some special purpose. Suddenly, the door explodes and Usopp arrives to get the money back.
