Overview

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is an anime adaptation of the light novel series of the same name created by Hajime Kamoshida. It is produced by J.C. Staff and directed by Atsuko Ishizuka. It began airing in Japan on October 9, 2012 on Tokyo MX.

Licensing

Crunchyroll began a simulcast on October 10, 2012.

Plot

The anime revolves around Sorata who is kicked out from his dorm for keeping a stray cat. He moves into Sakura Dormitory where he meets some of the smartest students, and he feels that he is ordinary without any dreams of his own. One day, his teacher, Chihiro Sengoku, forces Sorata to take care of her cousin who is transferred from England, Mashiro who is now living at Sakura Hall. Sorata finds out that Mashiro has no social skills and cannot take care of herself. Out of the blue, Sorata finds out that Mashiro is a world famous artist who is learning to draw manga.

Mashiro is a world famous artist. Unfortunately, she knows nothing other than drawing, resulting in an extreme lack of living ability and common sense. She had been living in England before moving to Japan to study at Suiko. She ends up depending on Sorata to look after her.
