The Most Dangerous Race, Part 2

The Most Dangerous Race, Part 2 is an anime episode of Speed Racer that was released on 10/21/1967
Pops is still in the hospital and Sparky, along with Spritle and Chim Chim can't reach Speed in time to tell him about his brakes failing.  Trixie takes her helicopter and picks up the boys to reach Speed in time.

When Speed tries to gain some ground on the Car Acrobatic Team in an ice cavern, they resort to their dirty to tricks to win.  Speed soon finds himself skidding down the side of a mountain when his brakes fail in a tailspin.  Speed ends up hanging on for dear life as he almost falls out of the Mach 5.  Luckily Trixie and Sparky manage to help him out.  Sparky works on the brakes.  After the repairs are complete, Sparky suggests they let bygones be bygones and always be pals, no matter what.  Before Speed gets back into the race, Spritle gives Speed his lucky charm so he can win the race.

Catching up to the other racers, he finds them looking on a dangerous jump during a storm.  Taking turns to jump, Speed has to go last.  Each time a racer jumps, the course gets more damaged.  Things don't look good for Speed.
