Episode Summary
Horse awakens in the desert. Meanwhile, Jotaro and company are in
Saudi Arabia, gassing up their vehicle, and we learn that thus far
these adventures have taken one month. Meanwhile, Hol Horse is
proposing an alliance to Enya Geil. She rejects his alliance and
stabs him in the arm. Enya blames Hol Horse for J. Geil's death. She
unleashes her Stand, allowing her to take control of Hol, and causing
numerous clean holes to materialize on his body. Hol tries to kill
Enya with Emperor, but Justice forces him to turn his gun on himself.
While our heroes are driving into the desert, they drive into a
heavy fog and are forced to find a hotel to stay in for the night.
Coming to a nearby town, they find the place seems deserted. They
become even more alarmed when the only person they find in the
streets is dead – killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They
find a woman walking in the streets and try to get her to report the
man's death to the police. The woman (actually Enya, made up to look
like a plague victim) says she would do so and leaves.
An old woman (again, Enya in disguise) arrives with two police
officers, who carry off the body without any comment. The old woman
says she runs a hotel, and offers to take them there. Upon arriving
to the Hotel, she asks Joseph to sign in by name – when his name
was not used around her at any time. Joseph also recognizes Enya's
name in the registry – she says that's a beautiful woman staying in
the hotel. Finally, Polnareff notices that the hostess has only been
using her right hand and asks about her left – she claims she
burned it.
That evening, Polnareff has problems sleeping, so he walks down
to the Hotel bar, where he sees the beautiful woman that the Old
Woman mentioned earlier (yet again, Enya). The two talk, with Enya
saying she's traveling looking for someone who killed a family
member. Polnareff feels like a kindred spirit and talks about what
started him traveling. However, before this discussion can go
further, Hol Horse bursts out of a closet and, gasping, tells
Polnareff to run.
The possessed-by-the-mist bartender starts to stab Polnareff, but
Star Platinum blocks his attack. Polnareff literally disarms his
attacker, and speculates on the Bartender's motive (not understanding
that he's controlled by another source). The woman finishes her
story, explaining that she's J. Geil's mother. As the zombies rise up
and attack, Polnareff realizes his danger.
