The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

What if god was one of us? This is the basic plot of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The story takes place from the point of view of Kyon, an average high school student who is has excepted life for what it is, boring. One day he decides to start up a conversation with the most eccentric girl in the school, Haruhi Suzumiya. A girl who wants to find espers, time travlers, and aliens and desperately believes they are real. Through these conversations Kyon plants the idea in Haruhi's head to create a club meant to find the three things listed above. Abducting the moe girl, Asahina, bringing Yuki Nagato into it, and inviting Ittsuki into the club. thous the SOS Brigade was born. To Kyon's surprise he leans that Ashina's a time travler, sent to investigate subject Haruhi, Ittsuki a esper, meant to keep Haruhi from getting bored or depressed, and Yuki Nagato an alien sent to gather info on Haruhi. Haruhi is god, but unaware of her powers, every time she gets bored or depressed she could rewrite reality. the anime seems to take a lot of efort in parody other anime, while retaining a original feel and funny atomsphere,

In conclusion
It's a funny and original anime with a lot of merits
