The latest anime I have completed is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (both seasons).  I went into this anime not knowing anything but the basics about it.  Like some people have, I watched the episodes in chronological order so I didn't have to think (because thinking sucks).  The anime had a slow start but, the story was interesting.  It would have helped if there were more episodes of the anime to tell the story of all the crazy stuff going on.  I would probably get more out of the story if I read the light novels or the manga for it.

Aside from the story, the characters were very enjoyable which was the highlight for me.  Haruhi was up beat and bossy.  Mikuru was such a sweet girl who would always get ordered to do Haruhi's demands (poor Mikuru :-(  ).  Yuki was really quiet but, she was entertaining for what she did. Itsuki was just always smiling, which was kinda creepy yet, goofy at the same time.  And Kyon, the poor guy who is just a normal human trying to get by.

There where lots a little moments that made me chuckle, like during the Remote Island Episode 2 where it turned in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.  At first I thought it was being all serious then I noticed it was being like PW.  Haruhi was slaming her hands on the table while Itsuki was shaking his head like Miles Edgeworth.  It made laugh pretty hard when I seen it.

All and all, I loved the characters a lot and the story but, I wish there was more.  While the story had lots of promise, it could have been told better if there were more episodes of the anime.  Maybe I should check out the light novels/manga so I can get more of the story.

My Score - 4/5

(P.S.  I don't even want to talk about Endless Eight.)
