Uh-oh.


ANN, as it so often does, breaks some bad news: that April start date for Haruhi? Kadokawa Shoten has apparently announced that this is just a rebroadcast, not the second season.


Okay, okay, it's probably not Kadokawa's fault that Newtype put up a TV ad that showed the cover and fans all over the world misinterpreted the cover of the magazine. Still, how much jerking around can we Harutards take, even unintentional?


That said, the magazine is still supposed to feature new information about the second season, so if you haven't already given up all hope, there's still some possibility out there.


Man, I thought April sounded too soon...

How is coming out in April fast? The first one started airing in April of 2006 it's been nearly 3 long years.

Void_Wizard: big shows like Haruhi don't usually get announced only two months prior to their airing-- they start work on shows LOOOONG before they actually air (sometimes as much as a year or two prior), and the longer you're working on something big before it's announced, the more likely it is you'll end up with a leak.

The last we'd heard was that they weren't even working on Haruhi 2, so it being announced now for an April date WOULD be very fast, even if it has been a while since the first season aired.

There has to be a reason for re-airing the show in the spring. When Newtype finally comes out maybe they'll have news of a Fall 2009 release. Any later than that.... and I'd still probably watch / buy tons of Haruhi merchandise.

PSH. All this pushing and pulling for season two is getting annoying as hell. I've been slowly losing interest in watching the second season.

But I REALLY would prefer the tenth novel to be out. I'm more stoked about that because of the #@%* cliffhanger. As long as I have the bloody novel out, then I'll be happy. Even if there wasn't a season two, I just need my tenth novel. That's all I care about really...
